Appreciation as a recurring ritual

Since 2017, Live Lab has been developing a biennial anniversary celebration for ABB that does not simply repeat expressions of appreciation but reimagines them anew each time. Each edition was conceived as a standalone stage – with its own spatial concept and dramaturgy. Over the course of several editions, this gave rise to a format that continuously evolves and, precisely through this, makes its ethos visible.

From celebrating collective achievement to spectacular stage designs to walk-in landscapes: each ABB anniversary celebration developed a unique spatial concept and translated appreciation into a new form. It was precisely this consistent reinvention that made a sense of belonging visible and, over the years, shaped a recognizable ritual.

2025 – Garden of Generations

The stage was embedded as a luminous clearing within a walk-in garden. Vegetative elements, light structures, and performative entries – from the reception to the opening show – created an environment that made growth and connectedness tangible. The production guided guests through an evening in which individual stories became part of a shared, living system.

2023 – Diamond of Diversity

A three-dimensional, reflective diamond formed the centerpiece of the production and was reactivated again throughout the evening. As a symbol of diversity and value, it refracted light into shifting facets and translated the diverse life stories of the honorees into a spatial image. Complemented by a journey through time through the company’s history and an atmospherically charged setting, a multi-layered evening emerged, balancing reflection and celebration.

2019 – 4,980 years of service

The total number of years of service became the dramaturgical leitmotif of the evening. The number 4980 appeared as a recurring element in the show, on stage, and in the live acts, structuring the program. The highlight was the staged unveiling of the individual anniversaries, embedded in a program of music, magic, and hosting that brought the collective achievement to life.

2017 – 3,680 years of service

In 2017, the focus was on 3,680 years of service. A light show featuring three-dimensional numbers, live music, hosts with iPads, and real-time projections transformed individual anniversaries into a collective celebration. The evening served as a thank-you to everyone who had helped shape ABB over the years.
