A summer festival brings everyone together

To celebrate its 150th anniversary, Nestlé brought together over 9,000 employees from all over Switzerland in Lausanne. Live Lab designed and produced a summer festival on the grounds of Expo Beaulieu, transforming two halls and the park into a unified experiential space – featuring international street food, music, and a specially coordinated transportation plan.

A festival for the entire staff

People from all over Switzerland came together, ranging from factory workers to top management. More than 60 food booths brought international diversity to the festival grounds, while various areas provided space for people to meet and celebrate together. In this way, the company’s anniversary became a shared experience for the employees.

A performance just for this evening

As summer night fell, the action shifted to the main open-air stage. After opening remarks by Peter Brabek and Paul Bulcke, a series of concerts followed. The musical highlight was a joint performance by Bastian Baker and the classical musicians of the Verbier Youth Orchestra, created especially for the festival.

9,000 guests, a coordinated arrival

A nationwide transportation plan made it possible for guests to travel to and from the event together using public transportation. SBB operated special trains, and regional operators supplemented the service with buses. As a result, the mobility of 9,000 guests was an integral part of the planning for a major event of this scale.
