A fresh brand that supports local produce in Davos

With the vision of promoting biodiverse, fair, and regional agriculture in Davos, the Ünschi movement was launched in collaboration with Martin Hänggi from Bioladen Davos. In 2019, the “Ünschi Härdöpfel” project launched, bringing potato farming back to the mountains of Davos after 70 years – and that’s just the beginning.

Live Lab designed the Ünschi brand identity, documented its story, and brought it to life. With a concise logo, striking product design, authentic visual language, and captivating copy, the brand was given a distinctive character. Live Lab also actively supported networking with partners, helping Ünschi grow into a strong community initiative. But the commitment went far beyond the creative work: the team even pitched in to plant and harvest the potatoes themselves – with full dedication and great passion.

The potato’s renaissance

What had been lost for decades was revived by the Ünschi movement: potato farming in the Davos mountains. In close collaboration with the Biohof zur Seewiese, a staple food that once defined the Davos diet is once again growing in the region’s fields. The potatoes are not only a return to our roots, but also a symbol of the success of regional collaboration.

Sustainably connected

Thanks to dedicated partners and producers such as Next Generations, Richnerstutz, DavosWorks, Inos.swiss, Heierling, and the Office of Economy and Tourism, the Ünschi movement continues to grow steadily. It stands not only for sustainable agriculture but also for the pride and innovative spirit of the Davos region. Ünschi is more than a project – it is a promise for the future and a model of how tradition and sustainability can go hand in hand.
